Vision

The Faculty of Humanities seeks to be a center of academic and cultural excellence not only at the local level but at the international level as well. It aims at the development and rehabilitation of young university youth through knowledge, science, skill and imparting creative thinking to them in order to participate actively in fulfilling the needs and developmental requirements of Sinai community, thereby keeping the identity and privacy of this society and simultaneously fulfilling the needs of the current information age.

Mission

The faculty seeks to achieve its strategic vision through social enlightenment and effective participation in growth and cultural development of Sinai community. In so doing, the faculty targets the following academic and professional objectives:

• Preparing distinguished leaders and cadres who lead the overall movement of community development in Sinai society.

• Providing students with knowledge, culture, skills and values related to development.

• Exploiting Sinai cultural history in marketing and touristic attraction.

• Using the location, resources and climate in the processes of population attraction and civil construction.

• Endeavoring to achieve the comprehensiveness and modernity of social curricula which bring about growth in the skills of thinking and creativity.

• Rendering the faculty as a melting pot of human cultures and a center for national and cultural dialogue.

• Rendering the faculty as a foundation and sponsor of heritage restoration, development of crafts and fine arts within its environment.

• Consolidating the concepts of participation, voluntary work, loyalty, and national and global belonging.

• Studying Sinai women's issues and working for their development and empowerment of their rights and conducting studies related to their conditions and attitudes.

• Adopting the mission of cultural enlightenment of the poor, disadvantaged, and marginalized groups according to the concept of "cultural integration".

• Qualifying students with the skills required by development projects within the framework of preparing especial training in the workplace.

• Providing community with academic advice and contributing to the processes of political decision-making with regard to Sinai.

Objectives

• Promoting academic contribution in the assessment of cultural, social and economic plans and programs of Sinai community.

• Participating in the processes of constructional and societal planning of Sinai community.

• Supporting Youth's role in participation, decision-making, and training on political work.

• Fostering the development of cultural creativity of students by finding scientific solutions to the existing social problems.

• Providing students with the value of voluntary work and social participation.

• Participating in studies and research works which aim to narrow the cultural gaps and bring about a rapprochement between social classes and groups.

• Enriching the work of local and political leaderships in academic studies and consultations.

• Adopting a scientific plan about reviving the cultural heritage and preserving the crafts and national arts of Sinai community.

• Exchanging experiences in the field of culture and sociology with local and international universities.

• Fulfilling university requirements through cultural, social and human-centered courses and majors.

• Adopting an academic and creative vision to achieve harmony among the requirements of economic development and the requirements of social and cultural development.
